A love note - Copaiba essential oil

A few weeks ago, Copaiba essential oil made its way into my oil collection. I already mentioned it in this article, but today I thought I'd dive a little deeper into the beauty of this oil. Read on if you're interested in finding peace in anxious times, a clear skin and a happy cardiovascular, immune, digestive and respiratory system*.

Copaiba for the mind

Derived from the resin of the Copaiba trees in tropical South America, Copaiba oil is well-known for its ability to help soothe anxious feelings. The woody, spicy scent makes it a wonderful oil to add to your diffuser, but I also love inhaling it straight from the bottle or putting a few drops in my hands to inhale the oil from my hands. When I know I have a busy day ahead, or when I go to crowded places (something that usually brings up some anxiety for me), I add a drop to my wrists or behind my ears, so the oil is always close to me.

If you're interested in learning more about other options to help ease anxiety, this is for you: before I worked with Copaiba oil, I wrote an article about my favorite anti-anxiety blend made with essential oils

Copaiba for the skin

The truth is that I don't really know a whole lot about skincare products. I'm a big believer in nourishing my skin from the inside by eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water, and keeping stress away as much as I can. BUT: there are quite a few essential oils that can do wonderful things for our skin. Copaiba is one of those rockstar oils that has been used for many years in all sorts of skin products. it's the go-to oil if you want to keep your skin clean and clear, and it can even help to reduce the appearance of blemishes.

How I use Copaiba for my skin? Simple: I add one drop to my day cream in the morning, and I add one drop to my facial oil in the evening. That's all.

Taking Copaiba internally

Copaiba is an oil that is safe to ingest, for example by putting a drop under the tongue or diluting the oil in a glass of water, tea or juice. When taken internally, the oil can support our cardiovascular, immune, digestive and respiratory systems* and the oil is a powerful antioxidant.*

Sourcing Copaiba

I think you all should watch this video on how the oil gets sourced. So beautiful.
