My new favorite essential oil for a road trip
While I’m working on a long article about essential oils for traveling, I wanted to share this article before launching the longer article. This is all about one specific oil blend that I recently fell in love with. It’s called InTune and is my new favorite essential oil for a road trip. Why?
I only recently added the InTune blend from doTERRA to my ever-expanding essential oil collection. This so-called “Focus Blend” is a mix of essential oils, diluted in fractionated coconut oil, including Amyris, Patchouli, Frankincense, Lime, Ylang Ylang, Hawaiian Sandalwood, and Roman Chamomile. That’s a whole bunch of my favorites in one roller ball bottle. YAY!
Every one of these oils is pure magic, of ourse, but together their magic grows even more. The oil gurus at doTERRA have carefully selected these oils to help enhance the senses and sustain focus, so this oil blend is great if you need to concentrate at work and for those of you studying. I also love rolling the oil behind my ears if I’m tired or distracted (making it a great oil for tired mammas!).
InTune essential oil blend for traveling and road trips
Not only is this oil great for use at work or while studying, it also makes for a great travel companion. As we’re currently traveling through Spain and Portugal, we had to take a few long car rides to get to our new destination (we chose a few favorite places in the two countries and spend a few weeks at each location). One day, I was particularly tired after a not-so-great night. Coffee didn’t do the trick and the drive had to be driven, somehow. I decided to let my husband and baby sleep in the back and I chose a radio channel with good music and no talking, and rolled InTune behind my ears and in my neck.
And then… I drove. I drove for hours and I didn’t get tired. We reached our destination and we were all feeling good. The husband and baby because they slept, and I because I listened to fun songs from the nineties, enjoyed the beautiful landscape around us, and felt rested - even after the long drive.
**Disclaimer, of course: I would never drive if I didn’t feel safe. I was tired, yes, but not exhausted. I would of course never ever enter the road if I would be a danger to myself or others. ** end of disclaimer. **
